Alliance Corporation a Kentucky Drug Free Workplace
GLASGOW, KY – Tommy Gumm, president and CEO of Alliance Corporation recently announced Alliance Corporation has become the 21st Kentucky business and the first contractor certified a Kentucky Drug Free Workplace by the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Mr. Gumm said, “This is a great achievement for Alliance Corporation. We are proud of our employees and honored to be the only contractor and one of only a handful of Kentucky businesses to have this certification”.
Kentucky companies in the program must have a drug and alcohol program in place and an employee assistance program for employees who test positive. Each company is required to do new hire, random, suspicion and post accident drug testing. Alliance safety director, James Watkins said, “Safety is our top priority, and becoming a certified drug free workplace is another tool we have in our toolbox to keep our employees safe, healthy and happy”. With the Kentucky Drug Free Workplace certification Alliance Corporation now qualifies for a 5% discount on their worker compensation insurance.
