AGC of Kentucky Recognizes Alliance Corporation
Glasgow,
KY – Nearly 250 contractors, architects and project owners attended the
Associated General Contractors of Kentucky’s 18th Annual Build Kentucky Awards
Dinner to recognize the premier commercial construction projects completed in
2007 by AGC of Kentucky members from across the Commonwealth. During the Build
Kentucky Awards ceremony Tommy Gumm, President and co-founder of Alliance
Corporation of Glasgow, was installed as 2008 President for the state’s
largest commercial construction association.
Projects
completed in 2007 were evaluated on their innovation in construction techniques,
materials, conditions or equipment, development of programs, economic results,
and the endorsements from the owner, design team, community or media. Separate
awards were presented for projects in the Building Division including projects
ranging from $1 million to $60 million in overall project value. In addition to
the Building Division, awards were also presented for categories including
Design-Build, Heavy & Industrial, Highway & Transportation, Historical
Preservation and Municipal & Utilities.

AGC awarded Alliance Corporation with 2007 Build Kentucky Awards for Munfordville Elementary School, Anderson County Board of Education Office and the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital-MRI & Rehab Center.
