Dedication ceremony for the
Hart County Judicial Center

Alliance Corporation and the Administrative Office of the Courts will hold a dedication ceremony for the Hart County Judicial Center on Thursday, Oct. 30, at 11 a.m. CDT at 117 E. South St. in Munfordville.

Alliance Corporation served as the Construction Manager for the Hart County Judicial Center and it was designed and constructed to meet the standards required by the Administrative Office of the Courts. The project was designed by Brandstetter Carroll architectural firm of Lexington. Tommy Gumm, President of Alliance Corporation said, “It was a great honor and privilege to serve the citizens of Hart County as their builder.” By utilizing the Construction Management process Alliance Corporation was able to complete the project on time and under budget. Gumm added, “Our network of qualified subcontractors and experience made it possible to complete this project within the allotted budget and time constraints.”

“The Hart County Judicial Center will greatly enhance the security of our court system,” Hart County Judge Executive Terry Martin said. “This modern facility is a very welcome addition to Hart County and will streamline a lot of our new technology.”

The judicial center consists of approximately 40,000 square feet and includes space for Circuit Court, District Court, the Office of Circuit Court Clerk and ancillary services.

Groundbreaking Ceremony for Single A Ballpark

June 5, 2008 - Downtown Bowling Green is one step closer to a new minor league ballpark. A groundbreaking ceremony was held at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 4th at the corner of 8th Avenue and Kentucky Street.

This Single A ballpark will serve as an anchor for a $250 million downtown redevelopment plan in Bowling Green, Ken. The Columbus (Ga.) Catfish of the Class A South Atlantic League are expected to relocate to Bowling Green to start play in 2009.

The signature element of DLR Group’s design is a private club for 150 fans on the suite level directly behind home plate. To accommodate this private club, the press box has been relocated along the third base line. Bowling Green’s new ballpark will offer a variety of seating types for more than 5,000 fans, with 4,000 fixed seats in the bowl.

The project team includes Alliance Corporation, construction manager and DLR Group, architect/engineer.

Alliance Breaks Ground on T.C. Cherry Elementary School in Bowling Green, KY

GLASGOW, KY - On Tuesday, May 27, 2008 Alliance Corporation and Bowling Green Independent Schools broke ground on the new T. C. Cherry Elementary School. The facility becomes the third new school and the fifth project overall that Alliance Corporation has served as Construction Manager. Alliance Corporation President and CEO Tommy Gumm commented, “Alliance treasures our partnership with Bowling Green Independent Schools and is pleased to be working on another wonderful project.”

The new school will be located adjacent to the current school. Students and staff will remain in the original building during the next school year while construction continues. The new T.C. Cherry Elementary will be open for the 2009-2010 school year.

Ross-Tarrant Architects designed the new 55,000 sq. ft. facility. The brick building will feature a cafeteria, gym and offices near the front of the facility, with two classroom wings towards the rear of the building. The exterior will feature tall windows for the cafeteria and classrooms to utilize natural lighting. The estimated cost of construction for the new school is $10,652,409.

The original and current T. C. Cherry was constructed and occupied in 1950, serving grades 1 – 8. The building was named for the district’s third superintendent, Mr. T. C. Cherry. The current school serves grades K-5 and approximately 275 students.
